Once your follicles have been reactivated and drop the dermal papilla root in search of resources to create terminal hairs, another important thing happens in the hair restoration process. The healed and working follicles send out growth signals that spreads to other follicles in the near vicinity which helps them all grow in lockstep.
I discovered this process due to the way that my hair was regrowing back. The hairs seem to pass some sort of hormonal or even electrical signal that pretty much states the environment is supportive of hair regeneration. Without this "go ahead" signal. hair stays in the villus stage. I believe that an opposing signal is sent out when follicles are in the "Male Acute Follicle Stress" circumstance that many refer to as androgenetic alopecia or male pattern balding.
What I've learned and is a key take away is that happy follicles swimming in dopamine and endorphins are in the perfect state of producing hair. This unstressed temperament is one of the key factors that is highly ignored or looked over in the restoration process. Many look to inhibit DHT. Many look to increase circulation. Many look to stretch and massage the scalp. Very few consider the "emotional conditions" of the hair follicles in the form of hair signaling that apparently initiates the anagen period.
